Why you must vistit kunuku aqua resort on Curacao.
We started Pack Your Suitcases a few years ago, because we always valued a good hotel or resort review. Even before we became parents, we loved to research certain accommodations of the destination we were visiting. We had come across Kunuku a few times before but we weren’t staying there. However, if you are not staying at Kunuku and craving a relaxing day lounging in several pools and bars while the kids have fun on different slides including the tallest slide of Curacao (124 meter), Kunuku has got you covered. They offer a daypass!

With a baby and a 3 year old (and let’s face it: a father who love a good water slide like anyone else) we were thrilled to be invited by Kunuku Aqua Resort for the day.
Location
Kunuku is only a 10 minute car ride away from the airport. Most people visiting Curacao (including us) rent a car. Kunuku has a parking lot where you can park your rental. Also, the resort is located about 15 minutes away from downtown Willemstad and some of the most beautiful beaches of Curacao are never too far away.
Facilities for the entire family
We had heard amazing things about this resort with unique facilities for the entire family. Not only do they have 5 separate pools with different types of slides for every age, they even have a fair with bumper carts and a dancing fly ride. Our toddler couldn’t believe her eyes when we walked through the resort. The resort has several rooms from 2 person studios to 6 person apartments. There is also a gym, kids club and entertainment.
Food
One of the convenient things about Kunuku resort is that they have an all-inclusive concept. Perfect for families and friends travelling to Curacao. There are 6 bars and restaurants with different themes (i.e. pizza restaurant, sushi, and snackbar). If you are visiting on a daypass, you get coins which you can spend on food and drinks at the bar.
The pools and slides
There are 5 different pools. There is 1 pool for the youngest where our baby (and toddler) could splash around and go on 2 slides. There is a pool for kids a little older and 2 pools with big slides. There is also a big pool without a slide. We loved swimming here for a bit because it was more quiet. There are sunbeds and umbrella’s available at every pool and some of the pools have a bar nearby.
Daypass
You can make an online reservation for a daypass at www.kunukuresort.com. Kids below 2 years are free of charge, between 2 and 12 years the price is $ 32,- of Nafl. 57,60 (this includes 3 coins to spend on food and beverages), prices from 12 years and up are $ 44,- of Nafl. 79,20 (including 5 coins).
We loved our day at Kunuku Aqua Resort. We are definitely coming back for another day of splash fun and in the future we might even book our stay here.
